Friday's Philippine Airlines flight departs Melbourne at 9am, arriving Manila at 2.40pm. A short transfer to The Belmont Hotel will have us checked in and enjoying beers around the rooftop pool by 4pm.
The morning flight will have you arriving at Dumaguete at 12:35pm where a car will be waiting to transfer you to Atlantis Resort ready to check in to your room at 2pm.
Diving is very flexible with local dives offered at 9am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm (night dives available every day). There is a choice of dive site each time and dive groups have no more than 6 people.
The reefs around Atlantis Dumaguete are home to more than 3000 species of fish and 448 species of coral. Combine unbelievable muck-diving with pretty coral reefs and shoals of schooling fish. The largely intact underwater world around Negros attracts divers and snorkelers. The dive sites are accessible all year round, and good to excellent visibility with generally low to medium currents can be expected.

The morning Philippine Airlines flight to Manila arrives at 10am.
Those going home will depart at 7.15pm for the overnight flight to Melbourne arriving 6.20am.
Those going on to the Puerto Galera extension will be transferred by minibus to Batangas (approximately two hours, – 110 km south of Manila) and from there approximately 1 hour by boat to Puerto Galera, which is on the northern tip of Mindoro Island arriving mid afternoon.

Verde Island is often called the centre of the centre of marine biodiversity — a must for any diver. Expect exhilarating currents, breathtaking visibility, and walls draped in vibrant coral and teeming with life.
